Taunton Vale Blue Daisy Cheese Dome

A wonderfully retro Taunton Vale cheese dome, decorated in the classic Blue Daisy pattern with bold blue flowers, green leaves, and a lovely trailing border around the base.

Made in England and dating from around the 1960s–70s, it sits on a chunky wooden serving board and has a large loop handle at the top. It’s a particularly nice example of the colourful kitchenware Taunton Vale became known for, and there’s a pleasing Somerset connection to the brand too.

The glaze shows visible age-related crazing, which I think adds nicely to its vintage character. A brilliant piece for serving cheese, or simply for bringing a proper retro pattern to a kitchen shelf.
