Ceramic Toucan Salt & Pepper Shakers
A wonderful little pair of vintage toucans, complete with enormous orange beaks, turquoise bodies, and pink bellies. These little characters were made as salt and pepper shakers, with holes at the tops of their heads and removable stoppers underneath.
Believed to date from around the 1960s–70s, the maker is unknown, with only the remains of a red stamp visible underneath. The decoration shows some age-related wear, but nothing that takes away from its charm.
Far too much personality for something whose original job was seasoning your dinner.
