I’m Sophie, the midcentury enthusiast behind Flippin’ Lovely.

My love of furniture and interiors began in the world of “fast furniture”. But after moving to the United Kingdom, I gradually fell out of love with flatpack, made-to-ship pieces, and was instead drawn to design made to last.

What I’ve found with mid-century furniture is that the best pieces often come with a bit of history — and, naturally, a little wear, grime, and neglect. But once cleaned, restored, and thoughtfully refurbished, they can be completely transformed. That’s where Flippin’ Lovely began.
